“Do You Ever Crave Fast Food?”
My roommate asked me this the other night. The answer is no.. but don’t think it’s because I have amazing willpower!
The truth is, I haven’t had chicken nuggets, a hamburger, or whatever other “meals” they sell at fast food restaurants in over a decade. I’m almost 25 now, and the last time I can remember eating fast food, I was probably 13. So by next year, I’ll have lived half my life not eating fast food.

So truthfully, I’m not a “better” person because I don’t crave fast food. I only know what it tastes like from memory. I’m sure if I tried it now, I may even like the taste and start thinking about it and even craving it. Not sure how my stomach would feel though (probably not very good!).
I’ve found that if you want to break a habit, one thing that helps me is to literally write down the date you last ate it. Put it somewhere visible.
Then it becomes a contest with yourself. You could write 10/10/12 (maybe tomorrow-10/11/12 would be a fun date that’s easy to remember! Yea, I gave you one more day before your break your habit) as the last day you ate fast food.
Imagine if you could say, I’ve gone 2 months without fast food or I’ve gone 4 months without fast food or I’ve gone a FULL year without fast food.
The longer you keep it up, the more you’ll want to keep doing it, just to prove to yourself you can. And to brag, of course :)
