Anonymous asked: What are your thoughts on coconut oil and for somebody who is trying to lose weight, do you think the extra calories that come from coconut oil are a good thing? Thanks :)
Coconut oil is a great source of healthy fat! They don’t have to be considered “extra calories”- just make them fit into your plan and always measure. For myself, I find I am able to tolerate much lower calories when I add fat into my diet, so adding coconut oil may help you too! Other healthy fat sources are nuts, avocados, olive oil and nut oils, and fish(like salmon). Coconut oil is a great addition to the healthy fat family. So in short, yes- adding coconut oil as a healthy fat option is a great idea!
