This drives me crazy. Click the link to Shape magazine.
This slideshow is so misleading. Some of these foods are great for you. They say it’s about portion control but most people will see that list and avoid these foods altogether.
Quinoa carries the most protein of any grain. Rice cakes are a lower calorie (and gluten-free) alternative to bread. Greek yogurt has more protein than most yogurts, and plain has much less sugar than regular plain yogurt. Chia seeds are nutrient dense and that’s great! They have so much fiber and healthy fat. Peanut butter and nuts are also a great source of healthy fats.
How about you only write articles bashing about processed foods? This article focuses WAY too much on calories.. how much good has that done for us?
WHAT you eat and HOW MUCH you eat matters.
Your body will look very different on a 1500 calorie diet full of fast food and processed food vs. a 1500 calorie diet from whole foods, including many foods on this list.
This is why I say- Educate yourself! Avoid magazines with gimmicky titles and misleading healthy information.
